What would a prayer time look like?

Pastor Ed challenged us last night that we could be doing a better job praying. What do you think a good prayer time would look like at SNL? How can we integrate a prayer time during the service?

First off, I think that a "regular o' person" should be doing the opening prayer, closing prayer, or any of the other prayer opportunities. It personalizes the service, touches more people, and opens people a little more. I think the possiblilty of having prayer after the service for prayer requests, praises, message or salvation questions, etc. could be a powerful tool. Maybe just meeting in the room in Ken's office, or using the resource room, or having access to A5- just some place people would feel safe in going to. Maybe have pizza delivered each Sat. nite around 7:30-7:45 and just see who shows up, but let everyone know that the opportunity is there right after the message and maybe even before the end of the music. Just thinkin'.
